We Treat

Peroneal Tendonitis

Peroneal tendonitis is a condition that involves inflammation and irritation of the peroneal tendons, which run along the outside of the lower leg and behind the bony prominence on the outside of the ankle. These tendons play a role in stabilizing the foot and ankle during movement. Peroneal tendonitis can result from overuse, repetitive stress, or injury to the peroneal tendons. It's commonly associated with activities that involve repetitive ankle motion, such as running, jumping, and sports that require lateral movements.
