Metatarsalgia

Metatarsalgia is a condition characterized by pain and inflammation in the metatarsal region of the foot (ball of the foot). Metatarsalgia can affect one or more of these bones and is often associated with increased pressure on the ball of the foot, leading to discomfort during walking or standing. Common causes of metatarsalgia can include high impact activities, abnormal foot mechanics, aging, stress fracture, and foot deformities.
